Eden Conference Barn is situated in the Eden Valley, one of England's hidden gems, between Kirkby Thore and Temple Sowerby. The Lake District National Park and North Pennines are within easy reach and there are plenty of accommodation options and places to visit just nearby.
The Barn is just off the A66 which connects Junction 40 of the M6 at Penrith with Scotch Corner on the Al. This means that Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle are all less than 2 hours drive away and so are the both the West and East Coast Mainline train routes.

Approaching from Penrith/M6
Follow the A66 towards Scotch Corner for 7 miles. Take the second turning off the dual carriageway sign posted for Temple Sowerby/Morland. At the next junction turn right and follow the road to the top of the hill. Eden Conference Barn is situated on the left hand side.
Should you take the first turning on the dual carriageway sign posted for Temple Sowerby/Culgaith, Follow the road through the village of Temple Sowerby, do not turn off until you reach a dead end, Eden Conference Barn is situated on the left.
Approaching from Appleby/A1
Follow A66 through the village of Kirkby Thore, on reaching the dual carriageway, take the first turning on the left, sign posted for Temple Sowerby/Morland. The slip road curves around and bring you to a junction. Turn left and at the next junction turn right and follow the road up the hill to the dead end, Eden Conference Barn is situated on the left at the dead end of this road.
Should you miss this turning remain on the dual carriageway until you see a sign for Temple Sowerby/Culgaith. Follow this road through the village of Temple Sowerby, do not turn off until you reach a dead end, Eden Conference Barn is situated on the left. |
